Hardwood Installation

Solid and engineered hardwood both go through the same core process: the wood acclimates to your home's temperature and humidity for several days before installation, we check moisture content against the subfloor, then it's blind-nailed (or click-installed, for some engineered products) row by row with the correct expansion gap left at every wall and obstacle.

Georgia's humidity swings are real, and wood moves with them. Engineered hardwood, with its plywood core, generally tolerates humidity changes better than solid hardwood, which is one reason we carry both and help you weigh the two for your specific room rather than defaulting to one.
